Promotion Policy

OAK GROVE SCHOOL DISTRICT

PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS

Earn a Semester GPA of 1.5 or better... AND
Earn no more than three (3) total semester F grades, or earn more than two (2) F grades in the final (June) semester.
If you earn three F's first semester, you must earn a 2.0 GPA and no F's in the final semester.

A student CAN’T earn more than 3 Semester F’s for the entire school year.

Note: If a student earns zero Semester F’s for Semester 1, a student can’t earn more than 2 Semester 2 F’s (see diagram above)

***Any 8th grade student who does not meet the above requirements will not be able to participate in the 8th grade promotion ceremony, dance, Great America trip or any other promotion activities the final week of school.
