I have been at Herman for 12 years as a school counselor. To add, I have over 20 years of experience working with K-12 students. I provide a comprehensive guidance program that meets the needs for students in grade 7 and 8. Additionally, I coach softball, volleyball, basketball at Herman Intermediate. My free time involves bowling in a bowling league with my husband and actively play on a co-ed softball team. Favorite sport teams are: The A's and 49ers! I love Hello Kitty, spending time with friends and family. My favorite part of the job is helping students reach their personal/social and academic goals. I have over seven years in education working with middle school and high school students. I have worked at Herman since 2015 as an academic counselor for grades 5-8 for Herman and students in the AdVENTURE STEM program.  I perform solution-focused counseling for both the students’ academic and social-emotional needs. Additionally, I work alongside our community liaison and teach Active Parenting and Parent Connection classes to parents within our community.  My free time is devoted to my family and volunteering. I love hiking, biking, riding motorcycles, Disneyland, penguins, turtles, dancing, and the beach. I volunteer my time to support children at a church in San Jose, work the Sheriff’s department on leadership campouts, and work with groups that support active and veteran military members. I believe and support the success for all students and feel privileged to guide students throughout their education journey.  I serve 7th and 8th-grade students with last names starting with A - L.
